Welcome December!! Yay the christmas season is upon us!!
So what has Akikik been up to this past week of no blogging I hear you ask? Well dear reader, I've recently got a job! (background woos!) Its kind of knocked me off balance though and I rarely eat dinner now since I work most evenings with no break ); If any of you are curious as to what job Akikik has managed to secure herself with no job experience at all...its that famous chicken branch which has dominated the world! Though thankfully I don't work near the food so I have managed to keep my skin in check, mwahaha.
So Today I woke up (rather late) from a furious banging on the door (even though we have a doorbell) and to my enjoyment clutched limply in the mailmans hand waaasss....my newly perchased wig! (applause)

While i'm partly apologising I should also apologise for my lack of consideration for the last question, if you have been following me on my blog or you know me in real life, I'm the crazed ninja bubble blowing dreamer of course..silly question tut tut..
Back to my reason for not blogging, I've been travelling all over England to visit open days!! I'll be sure to put up a post about that later, hopefully this week after i've posted reviews about pore cleansing products! Woooo!
Would I complete another 30 day challenge? Yes I would! Maybe i'll try a 30 day drawing challenge or a 30 day photography challenge, that should be interesting! Or maybe a new word of the day challenge 0.0 the posibilities! I'll have to catch new ideas from Tumblr because it is an automatic source of daily entertainment and inspiriation!
Another cool thing which i've been doing recently is joining in the fun for an INTERNATIONAL SECRET SANTA!! I joined redditgifts yesterday after seeing a post on facebook about it and I thought why not, spread the christmas cheer! Unfortunately redditgifts deadline is closed now for 2012, but don't worry theres always next year! I wasn't sure whether this website would be a good one so i'll just try it out and update you guys on my progress! You're allowed to non creepily stalk your giftee around the internet..haha fun times, i've found my giftee on facebook and she likes handmade gifts so I thought I would do a painting for her but I cannot access her photos and her profile picture is her in goggles and a helmet so that might be quite hard to do haha but where theres a will theres a way! My Giftee likes bike riding food haha, I'm thinking maybe I should put some food exclusive to the UK in her gift since she is from the US, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what foods to put in..i mean its not like i can just sent over a box of bangers and mash (>.<) So if you guys have any Idea's on what I should gift my giftee for christmas please comment below!!

- Coca cola lip gloss : It even smells like coca cola! Great for protecting my lips from the harsh winter weather.
- MUA waterproof liquid eyeliner: This is easy to apply and stays on for the whole day if you don't touch it. It even survived hongkong's 30 something degrees and for only £1! Problems with this eyeliner is that it is scratchy upon first use, but it usually gets softer after a short while ;)
- Koji eyetalk double eyelid glue: I love and hate this glue. Its easier to use than the eyelid tape and i don't feel like i'm wasting money if it goes wrong and i have to reapply the glue like i do the tape. I'm still a newbie at it so it takes a few tries before i'm happy with the shape i've made. If i do wear this glue i bring it with me when i go out incase it slips. so far, thats only happened once. lets keep it that way!
- Natural makeup powder:3W CLINIC PROFESSIONAL: Originally named PALGANTONG. This :loose powder is awesome at mattifying my face after a long day.
- Dolly wink eyeshadows 01: Love this range of browns, i use this for my everyday makeup. the eyeshadows are really pigmented and a little goes a long way!

30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 23 (food)

(1)Turkey Twizzlers and (2)Lucky Charms.
(1) They were so yummy, but Jamie Oliver banned them and they were discontinued in 2006.For some reason, since a few days ago i've been craving these at nightttime 0.0
(2) Deliciously unhealthy colourful marshmallows (0.0) After I saw a box of these babies when I was in Falmouth on Friday (reason why I failed at upoading my challenges, sorry!) I've craved them ever since, but 1 box of lucky charms was £8 pounds!! thats $12.8 for a box cereal!!

Marci: An abbreviation of my given name. This was formed in primary school when I was around 9 years old.I often introduce myself with this name because I find that my given name is harder to remember.
Marci-puu: I was obsessed with the way Fay from Tsubasa Chronicle nicknamed Kurogane so I added the PUU and a great deal other endings onto to other peoples names haha. People who mainly use this nickname is my mum and when people want to add a bit of affection when they call me ;p
Lulubell: I simply did not want my name on my secondary school leaving sweater ;L I was inspired by the name Lilynette from BLEACH and the actual name Lulubell is from D.GRAY-MAN.
AKIKIK: My internet nickname? (^.^) pronounced (Aki-kik) formed from 2 different cosplayers I liked at the time and then it stuck.
Usobaki: You'll find this nickname on my instagram.I wish I had a better story to this nickname, but akikik was taken on instagram. Now.. i've just realised how terrible this nickname actually is hahaha. I had a fixation on the anime BLEACH at the time so.. basically I got uso from the word 'usotsuki' which means liar, and I got the word Baki from 'Baka' which means stupid. Soo basically that name means Stupid Liar (shame faced) I had typed it onto google at the time and nothing terrible came up so I kept it. So I hope non of you think i'm a stupid liar, I suppose you could interpret stupid liar as being so bad at lying that its stupid..in which case.. yes I am a stupid liar.

At my tea shop i will sale my art works on the walls, and have a mini stage for those acoustic nights. upstairs will be where I live, where I can provide lodging for my workers should they need it. Akikik dreamed this all when she was 12!

For those who couldn't be bothered to click the link : Its a student pole of the worst and best univerities in the UK.
'In Bottom place - taking 105th place - was London Metropolitan University with a score of 60.7, sharing the lowest ratings for just about every lifestyle factor with the University of East London at second bottom with a score of 63.7.' <-- Now what makes this paragraph a fricking funny paloosa is the fact that I WANTED TO GO TO BOTH OF THESE UNIVERSITIES TO STUDY..HAHAHHAHA. I'm suddenly so glad that I took a gap year! I was going to the London Met to study Hospitality Management and then become part of the air cabin crew, then i changed my mind and was to go to the univeristy of east london to study photography with illustration. Now after reading about the london met's issue with their international students I kinda for saw that this univeristy wasn't going to be the best choice for me.. but to have it down on paper with my SECOND uni choice..gosh haha.
Thought i'd share this new song i'd listened to when watching the new anime Psycho-pass.. Its so catchy!

Holika Holika sample: Red wine sleeping mask
Tonight i'll be trying out the Holika Holika wine therapy sleeping mask! This mask claims to moisturise,smooth out your complexion/wrinkles and remove dead skin cells! My skin has been awfully dry and flakey since i lost my moisturiser (haha) so maybe this can help remedy the dryness!
The sleeping mask takes the form of a pinkish thick jelly like substance and smells like lychees. In fact you may as well be smearing lychee jelly onto your face.
The main things i'll be looking for within this mask is its moisturising and dead skin cell removing capabilities since I don't have any wrinkles (yet!)
Now as i write this i've had it on for about 10 minutes already, its rather sticky on my face and a teeny bit itchy. I'm not sure if i'll be able to survive the night with it on but we'll see!

UPDATE: I didn't fall asleep until around 2am and kept moving around and smudging the mask on my bed covers, haha though it did smell really good(lychee). When i woke up my face wasn't as sticky but it was .. shiny. After washing the remains of the mask off with water, my face was plump and smooth like a babys' butt! I couldn't tell if the mask had taken my dead skin cells as there wasn't any evidence left behind, but since my face was smooth.. then maybe? ^.^ I'll score this mask a 7/10 as it worked but the stickiness and rubbing ny face on to the bedcovers thing didn't really work out. I don't think I would actually by the product, if i did i'd wear it as a day mask? ;p because it does smell so damn good!

I found out about Blogspot from looking and reading other blogs and finding this one to be the most popular so I made one to use but my first blog was made in 2009 by FC2 (usually used by the japanese) because I loved the quirky layouts available and the use of cute icons without having to worry about html code. I was pretty much in love with Baidu blog and Yam blog as well because you had the option of having 'friends' 'photo albums' and blogging too, but alas I got tired of using google translator to help me. I also tried out Ameba and Livejournal but i once again had a translation issue with ameba and I just couldn't get used to using livejournal. Then one day, i decided that there was no point in suffering through translation issues so i went back to blogspot haha.

A lot of people i idolised at the time had a blog, cosplayers/fashion bloggers even friends, and I guess I was swepped up as well!

Chocolate Truffle Sheet Mask
I am currently on trying the new chocolate sheet mask, yay! surprisingly, it actually smells like chocolate! its no Cadbury's, more of a watery hot chocolate haha.
UPDATE: My skin felt softer and smelled yummy after usage, my skin was plump and moist too, but Congrats! The mask did as it says! ;D

30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 10 (Oh la la!)
Day 10- Songs you listen to when you are Happy, Sad, Bored, Hyped, Mad
These aren't set songs for when i'm feeling these emotions, but more of a 'i would listen to this if i listened to music when i was feeling these emotions'.( Im getting these songs from my ipod! ^^)

- HAPPY: Soul Sister - Glee Version ( HAHAHAH, its a happy song! and its a well known one so I decided to sing it out loud my friends would be able to sing along with me and we'd get this awesome high school musical thing going on ;D
- SAD: Basically the whole of the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles sound track. I enjoy 'Hear our Prayer' and 'I talk to the rain' I feel that in these solem moods, its nice to listen to slow music and reminisce.
- BORED: When i'm bored I never finish a whole song and like to flick through everything. But one song which i haven't gotten bored over yet is EGOMAMA by Deco 27!! I love it and its message, and the song isn't too slow or too fast...just right. haha
- HYPED: Usually Nicki Minaj/dubstep songs/ a number of songs from Treetopfan's(youtuber) repertoire of dance videos but for the sake of writing down a song i'll say Nicki Minaj's Starships ;)
- MAD: I rarely listen to music when i'm angry haha. I tend to either sleep it off or watch a movie with a lot of explosions. When when im fuming on a bus, i'll listen to the Guilty Crown OST- BIOS. because I like the tune and the bad german is funny when it sounds like ' licking droplets in the rain!' and sung so passionately!

30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 9 (Self esteem)
Day 09- Something you’re proud of in the past few days
Hmmm, this is a tough one but I guess one thing i'm proud of from the past few days is.. That i finally booked and ordered tickets to go to my first univeristy open day!!! I had been putting it off for a while but FINALLY I HAVE DONE IT!!
Another thing i'm proud of is my developing ability for patience and forgiveness, certain things went down this week and i'm proud that i could keep it together..most of the time ^^ .

Day 08- Short term goals for this month and why
- Finish and be happy with my UCAS Application. I would like to join university next year so i really want to be confident in my choices!
- Sort out looking at University Open days. I'd like to see what the universities look like and how they structure their lessons and plans.
- Paint 3 new paintings and at least 1 proper photoshoot!! This may be a bit far fetched but if i write it down it'll happen right, I want to build up a firm and good portfolio for university.
- Do one cosplay photoshoot! I like to cosplay..?

Gosh I am so bad at this, I am trying!!
Day 06- Favorite super hero and why
Sooo, my favourite super hero? I can honestly say i've never thought about it (D; Blasphemy!) I've always thought of myself as the superhero in my dreams..saving the day, using supreme medical skills that suddenly poped into my concious mind.
I don't really know what would contribute as being a superhero. Would it have to be a person who wears a disguise? lots of marvel characters come to mind, as well as DC comics.
I kind of like Violet Baudelaire, if she can always create things when she puts her hair up surely that would contribute to her eternal survival? She'd always have a solution to a problem ;) except that horrible bad luck which follows her and her family of course.

30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 2 (whats in a name)
Day 02- The meaning behind your Exteen Blogspot name
Akikik is a made up name, I wanted to find a name that i could call myself so my real name wouldn't be posted absolutely everywhere on the internet where future employers or curious people could find out what i've been up to, ( not that i've been doing anything forbidden..)
So how did i create the name Akikik?... the A is from the cosplayer AKUSESU. and the rest is from another cosplayer who i liked at the time and now i don't remember their full name (sorry!)
I made the name around 4 years ago, so when i was 14! It feels like such a long time ago..

I wish I didn't procastinate as much as I always have, I always left my homework late and in the amount of time i left myself to get work done, i didn't do as well i know i could have. Currently i'm look or a goal in life to get me upbeat and excited, then hopefully i'll be movitivated to try harder and procastinate less.

30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 1 ( An odd biography)

- I am a british born chinese living in the countryside on a Gap Year. I am18 years old with a birthday on 8th Oct. I like to paint with acrylics and experiment with watercolour and have an unhealthy love for animals.
- I have 2 goldfish named Ichigo and Milu who live in a half barrel pond in my garden. Ichigo is named after Ichigo from the anime Bleach, partly because he has toughed out all sorts of weather conditions and bodily damage from neighbouring cats and is still very much far from death! Milu is named after the chinese cosplayer Miluku because she's a really pretty fish! she has the longest swirly tail ever (>.<) translated, they are called strawberry and milk hehe
- I cannot speak cantonese very well (if at all) My parents tried to teach my sister and I cantonese when we were children, but we never seemed to pick it up, instead whenever she spoke cantonese to us we would answer back in english. We even went to cantonese school for 1 year! Even though we learnt how to recognise some characters we still couldn't speak more than simple sentences. However! I can understand conversational cantonese very well, so if you ever bang into me and would like to test my cantonese understanding...go ahead haha, you'll recieve horribly butchered cantonese in return, but hey the thought that counts right? ;)
- I love to take pictures. My father bought me my first camera when I was 9.It was one of those simplified point and shoot digital cameras with only lense and a shutter button ahaha. It was possibly the greatest present i have ever recieved, i took it everywhere with me and took pictures of EVERYTHING.. just like my daddy heheh. throughout the years i've refined my photography to focus on people, special life events and fashion art photography. one day i hope to work in the arts/fashion industry and live out my days surrounded by awesome beautiful things and wonderful inspirational people.
- My favourite colour is blue ;) for the sky, for my eyes, even in the filling of pies..
- When I was younger, my haired used to be long,thin and lanky and almost to my waist line. people used to stroke it and smell it ( smelling for the odd people) now that i'm all grown up my hair is thick, tough and blonde and thankfully no one smells it..that i'm aware of O_O
- I get embarassed incredibly easily. You don't even have to say anything, give me a weird look and i'll probably go red ;L
- I don't type in proper english. I can control the way i type, i could exclude the slang and the shorthand.. but sadly i don't think i will. You can berate me on any spelling mistakes you my find however.
- I used to go to a all girls school. I made some of the bestest friends there. but it wasn't a good time in my life. I could partly blame it on angsty hormones and then blame the rest on disrespecting monkeys.
- I love COSPLAY. Cosplay is my no.1 interest, I kind of view it as an art form, the amount of dedication going into the costumes made and the practice for different poses and facial gestures is just BOOM! I've never cosplayed before but i hope to in the near future when i can get my hands on some spare cash ;) but for now i'm pretty chilled in gwarping at the amazing costumes on world cosplay.net
- I also love fashion. Yes, you can love fashion and cosplay at the same time, just a different art form!
- I like sweet foods in cute pakaging. Even if the inside tastes horrible, you will always remember the cute packaging it came in.
- I use a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc X12 mobile phone. It delays and switches itself off. but it has a mega good 8.1 mp camera (^>^)
- I go to a special dentist. When i was younger i used to cry and bite the dentists' hand so they refered me to another dentist which deals with disabled and elderly patients.
- Last but not least: I like to travel. Throughout my life I have been to France/Spain/Jersey/Malaysia/China/Japan/Hongkong/Macau and most recently Korea. In february 2013 i will be going to volunteer in Cambodia for 3 weeks and then travel around for 1 week. I can't wait!

THE HARVEST MOON
Sooo the harvest moon is out! ...I guess i would have gotten better shots if i didn't have to make a dramatic escape to the window.
FAIL NO1: I couldn't actually get the window open until most of the clouds had drifted away. No matter how hard you pull and shake the window, ya still have to turn the key to get it open pahaha
FAIL NO2: A glass of water is so dangerous on a table with important papers, i had to twist and dodge to get to the window.
FAIL NO3: When completing a mission which involves a smooth surface. who needs socks anyway? Take em off otherwise you'll be flailing all over the place.

GAP YEAR : SUMMER 2012
Hi guys! Its been so long since i've written a post (¬.¬) i'll blame lack of a strong internet connection in HK on that one ;) ok, maybe a little laziness crept in as well ^^
So as some readers will know, i've recently finished my Alevels (applause) thankyou thankyou. Well they weren't perfect, but its DONE!!
But now where do I go?? I'm sure others are feeling the same, but i've never felt so.. off the path. If i got my way, i guess i would be going on into University. But with no idea what i wanted to do, it was kinda a nono.
So now i've taken a gap year, i'm going to build up my photography portfolio, do some art :textiles, painting. hey who knows! But what i really want to find is a job!
so heres a list of things i would like to try out in my gap year:

- Finish my DofE (finally!)
- Find a Passion.
