New blogger app update!

I've just noticed there was a new update to the blogger app, woow!!
(2 minutes later) quite a disappointing update, i'm not even sure what changed O.o.
I want to be able to post a pic and then write underneath it instead of just writing,then pictures, then having to go on the computer to arrange the pictures. One day Akikik...one day..

Welcome December!! Yay the christmas season is upon us!!
So what has Akikik been up to this past week of no blogging I hear you ask? Well dear reader, I've recently got a job! (background woos!) Its kind of knocked me off balance though and I rarely eat dinner now since I work most evenings with no break ); If any of you are curious as to what job Akikik has managed to secure herself with no job experience at all...its that famous chicken branch which has dominated the world! Though thankfully I don't work near the food so I have managed to keep my skin in check, mwahaha.

So Today I woke up (rather late) from a furious banging on the door (even though we have a doorbell) and to my enjoyment clutched limply in the mailmans hand waaasss....my newly perchased wig! (applause)

Ta daaa! I have now completed the 30 DAY CHALLENGE yaaay!! It took me a tad longer but I promise I do have a good reason. While i'm partly apologising I should also apologise for my lack of consideration for the last question, if you have been following me on my blog or you know me in real life, I'm the crazed ninja bubble blowing dreamer of course..silly question tut tut.. 

Back to my reason for not blogging, I've been travelling all over England to visit open days!! I'll be sure to put up a post about that later, hopefully this week after i've posted reviews about pore cleansing products! Woooo! 

Would I complete another 30 day challenge? Yes I would! Maybe i'll try a 30 day drawing challenge or a 30 day photography challenge, that should be interesting! Or maybe a new word of the day challenge 0.0 the posibilities! I'll have to catch new ideas from Tumblr because it is an automatic source of daily entertainment and inspiriation! 

Another cool thing which i've been doing recently is joining in the fun for an INTERNATIONAL SECRET SANTA!! I joined redditgifts yesterday after seeing a post on facebook about it and I thought why not, spread the christmas cheer! Unfortunately redditgifts deadline is closed now for 2012, but don't worry theres always next year! I wasn't sure whether this website would be a good one so i'll just try it out and update you guys on my progress! You're allowed to non creepily stalk your giftee around the internet..haha fun times, i've found my giftee on facebook and she likes handmade gifts so I thought I would do a painting for her but I cannot access her photos and her profile picture is her in goggles and a helmet so that might be quite hard to do haha but where theres a will theres a way! My Giftee likes bike riding food haha, I'm thinking maybe I should put some food exclusive to the UK in her gift since she is from the US, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what foods to put in..i mean its not like i can just sent over a box of bangers and mash (>.<) So if you guys have any Idea's on what I should gift my giftee for christmas please comment below!!

Akikik's 5 Dreaaamsss for way in the future.

• Have a Tea Shop which sales cake (ofc) and different types of teas from all over the world. + coffee for those morning bees. + soda machine..you want to welcome everyone from all ages afterall! At my tea shop i will sale my art works on the walls, and have a mini stage for those acoustic nights. upstairs will be where I live, where I can provide lodging for my workers should they need it. Akikik dreamed this all when she was 12! 
• Have a chilled and succesfully steady life. 
• Go photographing all over the world option1: Photographer option2: Air hostess
•  To be proud of the life I have given myself.   
• To have a kid as cute as can be with a just as cute partner in crime.  

I haven't put any 'now' goals + plans as I've done them in previous posts ;) xxx

I'm suddenly so glad that I took a gap year! I was going to the London Met to study Hospitality Management and then become part of the air cabin crew, then i changed my mind and was to go to the univeristy of east london to study photography with illustration. Now after reading about the london met's issue with their international students I kinda for saw that this univeristy wasn't going to be the best choice for me.. but to have it down on paper with my SECOND uni choice..gosh haha.

Hmmm, this is a tough one but I guess one thing i'm proud of from the past few days is.. That i finally booked and ordered tickets to go to my first univeristy open day!!! I had been putting it off for a while but FINALLY I HAVE DONE IT!!  
Another thing i'm proud of is my developing ability for patience and forgiveness, certain things went down this week and i'm proud that i could keep it together..most of the time ^^ .

BIRTHDAAAAAY, Today is my birthday. I went to the Aquarium with my sister and then ate at nandos for lunch. YUM.

30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 1 ( An odd biography)

[Day 01- A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself]

Demon tooth and all! if i swished my hair upwards would i look like Roxas?

•  I am a british born chinese living in the countryside on a Gap Year. I am18 years old with a birthday on 8th Oct. I like to paint with acrylics and experiment with watercolour and have an unhealthy love for animals.

• I have 2 goldfish named Ichigo and Milu who live in a half barrel pond in my garden. Ichigo is named after Ichigo from the anime Bleach, partly because he has toughed out all sorts of weather conditions and bodily damage from neighbouring cats and  is still very much far from death! Milu is named after the chinese cosplayer Miluku because she's a really pretty fish! she has the longest swirly tail ever (>.<) translated, they are called strawberry and milk hehe
• I cannot speak cantonese very well (if at all) My parents tried to teach my sister and I cantonese when we were children, but we never seemed to pick it up, instead whenever she spoke cantonese to us we would answer back in english. We even went to cantonese school for 1 year! Even though we learnt how to recognise some characters we still couldn't speak more than simple sentences. However! I can understand conversational cantonese very well, so if you ever bang into me and would like to test my cantonese understanding...go ahead haha, you'll recieve horribly butchered cantonese in return, but hey the thought that counts right? ;) 
• I love to take pictures. My father bought me my first camera when I was 9.It was one of those simplified point and shoot digital cameras with only lense and a shutter button ahaha. It was possibly the greatest present i have ever recieved, i took it everywhere with me and took pictures of EVERYTHING.. just like my daddy heheh. throughout the years i've refined my photography to focus on people, special life events and fashion art photography. one day i hope to work in the arts/fashion industry and live out my days surrounded by awesome beautiful things and wonderful inspirational people. 
• My favourite colour is blue ;) for the sky, for my eyes, even in the filling of pies.. 
• When I was younger, my haired used to be long,thin and lanky and almost to my waist line. people used to stroke it and smell it ( smelling for the odd people) now that i'm all grown up my hair is thick, tough and blonde and thankfully no one smells it..that i'm aware of O_O
• I get embarassed incredibly easily. You don't even have to say anything, give me a weird look and i'll probably go red ;L
• I don't type in proper english. I can control the way i type, i could exclude the slang and the shorthand.. but sadly i don't think i will. You can berate me on any spelling mistakes you my find however.
• I used to go to a all girls school. I made some of the bestest friends there. but it wasn't a good time in my life. I could partly blame it on angsty hormones and then blame the rest on disrespecting monkeys. 
• I love COSPLAY. Cosplay is my no.1 interest, I kind of view it as an art form, the amount of dedication going into the costumes made and the practice for different poses and facial gestures is just BOOM! I've never cosplayed before but i hope to in the near future when i can get my hands on some spare cash ;) but for now i'm pretty chilled in gwarping at the amazing costumes on world cosplay.net 
• I also love fashion. Yes, you can love fashion and cosplay at the same time, just a different art form!
• I like sweet foods in cute pakaging. Even if the inside tastes horrible, you will always remember the cute packaging it came in. 
• I use a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc X12 mobile phone. It delays and switches itself off. but it has a mega good 8.1 mp camera (^>^) 
•  I go to a special dentist. When i was younger i used to cry and bite the dentists' hand so they refered me to another dentist which deals with disabled and elderly patients.
•  Last but not least: I like to travel. Throughout my life I have been to France/Spain/Jersey/Malaysia/China/Japan/Hongkong/Macau and most recently Korea. In february 2013 i will be going to volunteer in Cambodia for 3 weeks and then travel around for 1 week. I can't wait! 

So thats day1 finished! That took a lot longer than expected ahaha. I hope you enjoyed learning some more facts about me!

Shinanagans in WonderLand

Hey Guys! I'm really loving the new layout for blogging posts, so much more space to type! I still think the picture posting methods could use a little pick me up, like have the' square' function on the photos like on word haha, would make my life easier fo sure!

I've had a very eventful week! I've reached the end of another college year, and have been able to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee with the rest of my town! I also watched Snow White and the Huntsman + hung out with the lovelie Tara ! 
And guess what, I'm feeling way better! I honestly think i'm on the road to recovery.. except the fact that I couldn't sleep last night & only got 4 hours sleep, but that was a one off..I hope hehe.

Went to see this film with some of my makeshift family on wednesday, I didn't realise it was Chris Hemsworth during the film! I went to Samu afterwards and said, 'hey he reminds me of thor!' of course the appropriate answer was ' yeah, that is him' ;L 

The Review: My thoughts on the movie are a mixed bag, i thought it was ok, I loved the wonderlandish forest they created for her and the huntsman to hide in. The dwarf's lol so funny, congrats to the writer for the childish humor ;L I'm no actor, but some of the bits with the elderly dwarf i was cringing a bit and the true love bit caught me off guard. but altogether, it was an ok movie. To me its one of those movies where you'd think it was ok but you wouldn't watch it again haha

We had time before the movie so we decided to take some photos of our outfits of the day...

Film List: May 2012

Films I've been wanting to see this year!

Dr.Seuss' The LORAX:  I love my animations haha, It was out a while ago but i never saw it in the cinemas ;/ my aim is to watch this somehow asap! What attracted me to this movie was the trailer which i stumbled upon on youtube one day...i mean, blow up bushes? jelly vegetables?! having to pay for your oxygen?!?! Crazy shizz it helps that Taylor Swift and Mr. High School Musical are the voices for the cute couple in it. I also loved the bit at the end of the trailer where the Lorax is like ' Thats a woman?! 0_0' HA

The Avengers: I've actually already gone to see their movie but I wanted to post about it anyway, but in as few a words as possible, it was AWESOME! It humor was so witty and funny, something i wouldn't expect in such a serious (or so I thought) action movie, and the action shots! Oh my word they were so coool.

 I loved the building of the friendships between the avengers throughout the movie, expecially between Bruce and Tony, pulled at my heart strings haha. I saw this movie in 3D but if i'm honest, nothing eally came out at me as i wanted. Sure things were in 3D (the buildings..Coulson's head) but when a flying evil monster would come at me, it would be ruined when parts of the body would be cut off from the screen. But altogether, bloody awesome movie. WELDONE!

The Dark Knight Rises: I am looking forward to seeing  this movie very much! I wouldn't say i was a die hard batman fan, i've only watched the Christian Bale movies (where i totally fell in love The Joker mwahahha) but im mega looking forward to seeing Tom Hardy be a bad guy haha. The trailer looks promising so hopefully this movie will be a BLAST!

PROMETHEUS: YES, Prequal to the Alien films this movie seems promising to sci-fi horror lovers! Its has a lot of advertisement in the UK so far, catching the attention of loads of people who don't even like alien films. The trailer looks good, i've watched it on tv too many times haha 'not a map, an invitation' <-- starts to get annoying after a while, I can't place her accent at all ;L Michael Fassbender, my crush will be starring as David the robot hehehehe

The Hobbit : An Unexpected Journey  Im a Lord of the Rings closet fan hehe, been wanting the one ring for a while!:O ill be interested to see how Watson does as Bilbo Baggins, ah so excited!!

Tadaa, The films i'm eager to watch so far! As you can tell, i'm really into action films haha. Until next time! I'm waiting for photos of my weekend to post for your guys, lots and lots of icecream!

Shopping is lurve

Yaay! Went shopping with DLLY and YIYI! Pretty cold in the uk at the moment, but we dealt with it!

For lunch we went to Wagamama for some grub ;) Service there was pretty good. A waitress would pop round and ask if everything was ok and such ^^ It was really busy for a sunday though, guess everyone wanted something more exotic than roast dinner haha.

Perchases + Gifts of the day!

Lovely Dlly gave me some eylure vivid lace eyelashes! They are so cute, can't wait to try them on and show you guys!

She also got me a cute ring (not pictured) and some corn pocky like snacks?! Those were sooo yummy, will defo hunt for them when i next go back to HK ;)

Other things i bought today were some shoes from urban outfitters! Such beauties! My small 5t4 frame raised to 5ft8 with these! Lav! But, i wouldn't recommend wearing these when its raining or on uneven surfaces, something i found out about the other day ;L After walking in them awhile, the shoes started to rub against the soles of my feet ); but thankfully no blisters formed ;) I guess no pain no gain!

Print boot slippers from Primark: for my cold feet in the winter, but after wearing them for a few days..my feet are still cold. *FAIL*

Sea Vegetable Soap:  I smelled it once..then i was like, I must buy! So far i've only used it once so i can't quite judge it yet. But in that one time i used it, my sister said i smelt like a boy afterwards (¬ ¬)

Belated Chinese New Year Post

Hello everyone!! Just thought it would do a quick post about chinese new year even though its a bit late hehe.
The days leading up to chinese new year were terrible if i'm honest, and the reason why? EXAMS/COURSEWORK DEADLINES/CONFUSION < -- a lot of stress going on (- -) thankfully i'm not one to grow white hairs when stressed haha.
 
This post will basically be pictures (like always haha) on my new years meal! Onwards!~

My mother decided to make..gelatinous mochi looking balls for us, inside were...malteasers.. XD XD but the honey comb insides didn't melt enough so when we bit into it, it was just some melted chocolate and a hard lil crunchy thing hahaa.

 So that was my chinese new year experience this year! How was yours? ;P

Hello 2012 ;)

First off, happy new year!! I know i'm a month late hehe, i actually started writing this post in early january but exams and unexpected illnesses got in the way ;/

Yaaay!! We've reached the last month of the yeaaar!!! So many essays to write though :(

Save a life:Give Blood

Or not...-.-; Today my girlies and I went to give blood!
I started off the morning trying to locate where the actual place was paha, but then once that was O.K i warfed some food down and went out the door to meet G.G and Samu by Asda.
We got there ok! thank god for google earth and sat nav on iphones haha, so we waited for a while and filled out some forms then finally a nurse called my name to check my blood....i didn't even get to that stage :( I was sick on the saturday before with a stomach bug so i couldn't do it! So unfulfilled :( But its ok. theres another one on 6th Dec mwahaha. Who doesn't need some of Aki's wonderful blood? ;p I guess I feel the need to do something to help someone, boost up ma self worth haha.
In the end entertained G.G. and Samu while they were giving blood, Studentbeans is so funny, boob implant bursts by paintball gun..*giggle*
;L There was a man giving blood near GG and i looked over and a red light was beeping *to signal not enough blood coming through* so i was like oh noes, and a nurse came by and started *it seemed* hurridly adjusting his 'wires'? Me, being the exaggerated person i am thought the man had fell unconcious!! so i was looking all worridly at georgia and she started freaking out too...in it turned out his blood bag was full and he was all ready to go ;L Freak out unnecessary,shishishi~
While we were hanging out by the snack table so they would replenish themselves samu started feeling faint and asked for the tiolet to be sick in, i quickly rushed out to find the tiolet but it was ok..was in a room full of nurses FAIL NO.2 (>.<)
Samu was alright and we went to town to go shopping afterwards whooP!!

Starbucks is good for cold days

Hey guys! its been a while! i have so much to share, but i've yet to find the time to do so, but have no fear! i shall make it happen ,＼(^o^)／

Im currently using blogger on my ipod, please forgive me for spelling mistakes which might occur during this post haha.

As some people reading this will know, my birthday has recently passed! one year older, the future looks a bit blury at the moment but im sure the clouds will clear for me!

Mmmm I went shopping with the girlies today after college!after georgie and sammie went to get their bus, tara and I went to starbucks to pig out XD lemon and poppy seed skinny muffin with caramel hot chocolate, yaay! shared muffib with tara since we're poor college students :L

First day of last year of college tomorrow D: D: I haven't finished my art! Nor have i even started my 2000 word essay for history.. Great start Aki.. (- -).
D; D; Omfg, the bus is gonna be so full with all the first years, i hope they're mature, (unlikely) No lil mini shizzle better stick a booger in my hair (T.T)
I still have to post up that time we went to glastonbury festival 2011, so i remember all the fun things which happened there. Haha, i'll shall this lil titbite though, So i was walking to the portaloos, it being sunday and all, the loos weren't stink free. So i conjured up this excellent plan to stick tissue up my nose so i wouldn't smell anything. N it musta been really comfortable up there cuz i forgot all about it, n walked straight out of those portaloos with confidence. Then these guys saw me n started pointing at me and laughing ( - -) FAIL. i quickly deposited my nose tissues n ran away like a ninja. Teh end. XD XD

Whats in my bag?

 

1. Satchel bag by Redherring.
This bag is quite heavy on its own, but at least its sturdy and has multiple pockets ^ ^
2. Makeup bag by PAUL FRANK&LIP SMACKER Collaboration
Given to me by my Auntie for christmas :) It has really cute monkey patterns all around it mwaha, but I'm not impressed with the small zip （￣へ￣）Usually some lipgloss, blusher, eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara is tucked inside (thumbs up)
3. Panasonic white headphones
These are so cool to look at and wear around your neck! but my only issue is that they leak sound, so if your on transport you can't increase the volume too much or else the people around you would sing along to your music or something haha, i've also been having problems with the sound jack but maybe thats with age?
4.Ipod touch 4th generation 
I was so happy when i recieved this baby for christmas! I use it constantly now, everywhere i go infact haha. My good friend MissDLLY Brought this cute rabito cover for me from HK. The tail is SO FLUFFY and it makes my ipod look so adorable! AJKDHSA
5. Sharp SH9120c + 可愛い～ accessories! 
Fabulous strawberry and chili keyring thanks to DLLY! This phone gives me no internet ): but it has ultra cool flip phone action Xp and a screen option in which you can ony see whats being written unless you are directly in front of the phone ;D

I'm aa..a KETCHUP FIEND, this tin contains burger king ketchup satchets for use when there is no ketchup around pahaha. also, ketchup is 10p per satchet in the cafeteria in college, must save monies for other purposes!
